"Richelle is stunningly beautiful and stunningly dangerous. She is the stunner from Downunder."
Richelle began her professional wrestling training in Australia, before quickly heading to the USA to train at the Texas Wrestling Academy in San Antonio. Being a life long athlete, Richelle developed her in-ring skills very quickly and soon garnered a lot of attention, not only as the Aussie Blonde Babe, but also as the complete wrestling package.
"I met Richelle in Texas after a tour of Japan. Worked out with her in the ring. Blonde hair, blue eyes, gorgeous, talented and Australian. I was so impressed I immediately called Molly Holly to let her know I found a chick with looks and talent." - Jeremy Lopez, AJPW, Osaka Pro, WCW.
A lot of Richelle’s exciting wrestling style and agility can be attributed to her martial arts training. Richelle has a black belt in the ancient Japanese martial art, Ninjitsu, and is also trained in several weapons. Most notably, Richelle, at the age of 9 years old, won the Under 14’s boys/girls ninjitsu tournament in Sydney, thus showing at a very early age her intense work ethic, dedication and amazing athleticism. Richelle continues to maintain her martial arts skills to this day via Muay Thai kickboxing and continued weapons training.
"Richelle has no fear. Her discipline is amazing and she accomplishes everything she sets out to do. She's also a total student of the game. She loves and understands the psychology of wrestling, as opposed to just doing something because it looks good. She has been one of the best wrestling partners I have ever had." - Don Juan, TWA, ROH, NWA Wildside.
Richelle has also competed in multiple sports, including basketball, netball, swimming, beach volleyball, touch football, indoor cricket, cross-country running, indoor soccer and wing-chun (form of kung-fu). In addition to her athletic abilities, Richelle is also an actor. When her schedule allows, Richelle attends acting courses at NIDA in Sydney. Richelle’s acting abilities greatly contribute to her work as a professional wrestler, both in and out of the ring.
“Hopefully by the time you read this Richelle Nicols, who finished training in Dec, 03, will be in OhioValley with a WWE Developmental Contract. Richelle was one of the hardest working females that I have EVER seen.” – Rudy Boy Gonzalez, Head Trainer of Texas Wrestling Academy.
Richelle seemed destined to become an international professional wrestling star in 2004, however her professional wrestling dreams soon came to an abrupt end when her mother was diagnosed with cancer. Wanting to be by her mother’s side during her battle with cancer, Richelle returned to Australia fulltime whereupon she completed law school and was admitted to the Supreme Court of NSW as a solicitor. Unfortunately, Richelle’s mother Leah lost her battle with cancer.
Inspired by her mother to always follow her dreams, Richelle left her lawyer qualifications behind and hit the professional wrestling world again. Expect to see the "Stunner from Downunder" on the international stage very soon!
